What is a bridge?

If you are missing a tooth and wish to replace it, we offer single tooth dental implants that can fill in that gap in no time. If you are missing a couple of teeth right next to each other, we suggest a bridge.

A fixed dental bridge allows us to close the gaps caused by missing teeth. The bridge is made up of two or more artificial, custom-made teeth that come together with one or two dental crowns that are placed onto existing teeth or dental implants to anchor the bridge in place.

To make a custom dental bridge, you will work closely with the dentist and other dental professionals in our office to discuss and collect information based on what your new teeth will look like. The teeth on the dental bridge are made out of porcelain and are strong enough to withstand the normal pressures of natural teeth.

Why do I need a bridge?

Having missing teeth can affect the way that your existing natural teeth function, as well as their overall health. Lasting or surrounding teeth that are near the gap can start to move and shift into the open area, creating large gaps between the teeth. These large gaps can cause chewing or even speaking problems.

Not only does having multiple missing teeth cause problems for the health and anatomy of your smile, but it can also affect your confidence. We encourage our patients to take advantage of our state-of-the-art technology and treatments to achieve the smile they want.
